Adamson House Wedding - Jeanine and Rob

Adamson House Wedding - Malibu, CA

Getting Ready Venue: The Shangri-La Hotel, Santa Monica
Wedding Venue/Reception: Adamson House Wedding Grounds

Well to say this was a unique wedding would be an understatement. Rob and Jeanine had an absolutely gorgeous wedding from getting-ready straight through the wedding and reception.  You might have already seen a few of their images when news of a special guest appearance at their wedding broke.  Yes, Justin Bieber decided to show up to say hi which I guess is now standard for those beach-side Malibu venues.  Up until that night it's probably been awhile since I heard grown men scream in excitement.  They also had the infamous same date as Los Angeles' CARMAGEDDON 405 shutdown [you might see a themed shirt in there somewhere on a bridesmaid] which ended up not being much of anything.  There was tons of electric energy in the air!

Jeanine and Rob both got ready at the Shangri-La Hotel hotel which is located on the coast in Santa Monica.  Something I think a lot of people overlook is a nice hotel room for getting ready.  As you can see from the photos it can make all the difference.  There's nothing [other than a giant smile on the bride's face] that I love more than walking into when arriving.  Great couches/beds, decor, and beautiful views can create some gorgeous backdrops for your detail shots.

The ceremony was held at one of my favorite venues to shoot at, The Adamson House Wedding Grounds which is overseen by the California State Park system.  If you've seen Deepa and Bart's Adamson House Wedding from last year it's such a great place to get married.  So many people want to get hitched under a huge tree, and the Adamson has a gorgeously placed one where the sun just streams through while you have your ceremony.  The light is just perfect!

Hope you enjoy the photos, Jeanine and Rob's wedding was an absolute pleasure to shoot!  -Ian

PS: Thank you to Michelle and Nick to whom we met Jeanine and Rob!

Mark - Plymouth Wedding Photographer - Ian, that's a really classy wedding and amazingly well captured. I'm totally loving the shoe shots and the colour scheme is one of my favourite combos, blue and yellow, not sure why, just always love it. Oh, and that location, I would love to be able to do outdoor weddings in the UK, but well, we can dream!
