As some of you may have followed, my friend Nick and I were able to escape for the weekend and go camping up in Mendocino County of California.  On day one we drove overnight up to Fort Bragg from LA and stayed the night at Mackerricher State Park along the beach.  During the day we...

2009 Roadtrip Title: The Sea of Death Tour

This weekend my friend Nick and I are heading off on one of our absurdly long roadtrips again! This time we are traveling from Los Angeles to a little coastal town called Fort Bragg in Mendocino County [about 3/4 up the California coastline]. We're going to be camping at Mackericher State Park right next to...

2008 Landscape Photos of the Year!

ian - Hi Vicky,

I forget, but I think I was last up in Redwoods in August. The Rhododendrons weren't blooming yet though, so you have to try and time it perfectly. :)

It's a really pretty area, one of my favorite parks.

Vicky - Hey!! Your photos are amazing!! I was wodnering which hour/weather this photo was taken: http://www.iangrantphotography.com/gallery/ian-grant-photos-of-the-year-6.jpg

I was planning to do a photoshoot in the woods for one of my stop-motion movies and I would love to have this special lightning. Could you tell me a little bit more about it? I would really appreciate it!

Greetings from Germany!

One of my favorite things [and...

We're Going to Salt Lake City [or Utah at least]

My good friend Valeri alerted me to a crazy deal Southwest Airlines is having, where you can fly to Salt Lake City for 50% off! In the past I've wanted to fly into SLC because there are a number of National Parks in that neck of the woods that I haven't visited yet and have...
