Turnagain Arm, Alaska

Turnagain Arm Alaska This August a couple friends and I came across a super cheap flight from LA to Anchorage for only $300 [thank you Alaska Air!], so we jumped on it that night.  Granted this meant we got into the Anchorage airport at 1am and then had to sleep on exceptionally cold benches till...

Capitol Reef National Park

Capitol Reef National Park Utah In continuing on past Mesa Verde National Park I headed across the Colorado border into southern Utah and then weaved my way up into the literal middle of nowhere.  Like no cars, gas stations, or people middle of nowhere.  While it was somewhat unnerving not seeing a whole lot of...

Zion National Park in Winter

Zion National Park Utah I made a great little trip over to Zion National Park recently after a few years since my last visit. This time around though it was winter and apparently they got a little more snow than they're used to. This made the scenery really gorgeous, my hands significantly colder, and arriving...

Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce Canyon National Park Utah On my most recent little adventure I made a quick little side trip to Bryce National Park. Since it was at such high elevation [I think I was around 9100 feet up] there was snow everywhere and it was insanely cold. I had to make it a quick little trip...
