As I discussed previously, one of the great resources I found in my Norway research was the Norway Tourist Routes website which had a list of all the great drives in the country. Sognefjellet really stood out, not just for the gorgeous scenery, but also that it's Northern Europe's highest mountain pass road. Fun right? So after a crazy drive on the Gamle Strynefjellsvegan we circled around and hit the Sognefjellet Route and a great mountain sunset.
As we headed up the mountain though the weather started to turn and an odd fog was coming through the pass.
And suddenly that turned into snow, it was the fastest snowstorm I've ever seen! It blew through over the course of 5 minutes and left us with an unbelievable blue sky.
This is not the place you would ever want to get stranded at night. Gorgeous, but somewhat scary!
