Los Angeles and Santa Barbara Wedding Photography Blog by Photographer Ian Grant bio picture
  • Welcome to Ian Grant Photography

Thank you for checking in on our blog! My name is Ian and I'm a photographer in greater the Los Angeles area. That's my wife Tanya over there too- she's great with clients and has a fantastic design and fashion sense.   I specialize in Wedding Photography and LA Headshots but you'll often catch me out shooting landscapes and traveling insane distances to visit National Parks in my spare time.

In my wedding photography I like to combine both, so I guess I'm a landscape-wedding photographer.  I love long roadtrips and have been all over the US from Rhode Island to California. I enjoy planning far away trips and going over to Europe to drive around aimlessly for an extended amount of time. Tanya and I run Ian Grant Photography out of our beach spot in the Los Angeles suburb of Playa del Rey, CA. Enjoy your stay, and feel free to introduce yourself!

Wedding dates for 2012 are quickly filling up! If you're interested in having us shoot your wedding or event, please contact us and we'll get right back to you! Feel free to let us know your wedding ideas and how we can help!

    Thank you for visiting!

We're Going to New Zealand!

Quantas

Last year Tanya and I got married and never got to take our honeymoon because of work and various other things. So we decided late last year that we were going to go over Christmas of 2009. So me being the cheap ticket scavenger that I am [I got a cheaper direct tickets from LA to Ireland than my dad in Boston] have been looking for the last month to try and get an idea to see how much a direct flight to Auckland would be. First it started at $1600 a piece, which wasn't horrible but it would be spending most of our money just on the plane ticket. Then last week it went up to roughly $2000 a ticket which was spending all our money on a plane ticket. Then tonight I decided to randomly check like I do and I found direct tickets with Quantas, on the exact days we wanted to go for $877 a piece. I seriously checked multiple times to see what the catch was, and there wasn't one- so I called Tanya and jumped on it [kind of literally]. So now we're going to have a honeymoon for a couple weeks over Christmas and we get back into LA on new years eve an hour and a half before the ball drops. I couldn't be more excited!
