Olympic National Park

Olympic National Park

Washington / View all National Parks

It’s officially been six years since the last time I was up at Olympic National Park, and I’ve been wanting to get back almost since I last left.  There’s something wonderful about the coastal Pacific Northwest that I just love.  Since Tanya, Lily and I were up in Seattle I planned on staying an extra week to go run around Mt. Rainier National Park & Olympic National Park.

Instead of taking the roundabout way out to the coast, I decided to take the Bainbridge Island Ferry directly from Seattle.  I was a little nervous about driving a car onto a boat, but it was a lot more straight forward than I expected.  It was a quick little ride out and then I drove counter clockwise out towards Lake Crescent.

  • Julia - I’m glad you made it to Ruby Beach! It’s our favorite, and the source of Jo’s middle name. :-)

  • ian - Fun!
