On my most recent little adventure I made a quick little side trip to Bryce National Park. Since it was at such high elevation [I think I was around 9100 feet up] there was snow everywhere and it was insanely cold. I had to make it a quick little trip as I arrived a few hours before sunset. Nevertheless, it was great to visit and the drive back through Zion I'm probably never going to forget. I stayed in Springdale which is at the entrance of Zion so I had to drive back through the park at night and on their 'sort-of-plowed roads'. I'm pretty sure coming back through the tunnel and down the cliffside was one big long slide down a sheet of ice. In the dark. With deer and rabbits jumping in the road.
