Banff National Park

The final stop on the whirlwind tour of the Northern Rocky Mountains [see Jasper, Athabasca & Glacier] was Banff National Park up in Alberta, Canada. We wanted to see some teal blue lakes and there was clearly no shortage to go around. What’s crazy is the color you see is what it was actually like being there- no lie. It’s nothing short of incredible, assuming you can handle some pretty cold weather in August.
We ended up camping at Two Jack Lakeside Campground within the park. It was cold, and wet, but their showers were awesome which took the edge off. Also I discovered I’m allergic to wood smoke on this trip- that was no fun.
