Every once in awhile it’s nice to go out and try something new and challenging, and this last week was a great opportunity to do this. I have a great friend who I love shooting with and once a year we go do a set of figure studies in and around the outlying LA area. I like the challenge of it as it’s a good test for me in keeping the person I’m working with comfortable as well as well as incorporating the environment, lighting, etc. Also, since I’m a lifelong student of photography, I’ve been seeing people like Edward Weston’s work for many years now and realize the amount of time and patience that goes into it. I’m sure I’m not the only person who thinks they’re some of his best work.
