Lily Creek

To say our Christmas and New Years was a busy one would be an understatement!  Somewhere around the end of November we decided to casually look around and see what was going on in the home market- just for kicks, right?  We've been pretty happy since we moved up to Seattle and our little temporary apartment lease was ending on December 31st.  We saw no reason to move far away, our family has really fallen in love with the Pacific Northwest.

Low and behold, the second place we looked at was perfect.  A cute little new build townhouse, in our budget, and right on a green belt with a stream going by.  It was perfect, so we jumped on it. While people were out doing more exciting things like buying presents and whatnot we were packing tons and tons of boxes.  Literally 10 months earlier we were doing the same thing, so it was somewhat horrifying.

Fast forward to now and we're officially in our new place and more or less moved in.  The highlight for our darling little daughter is the creek out back called Lyon Creek, or as it is now renamed Lily Creek.  She loves it and we spend many winter days down on the banks clearing out leaves, hitting it with sticks, and watching the resident giant hawk.

The view of the back of our town-home.  It's fun tramping through all those thorns to get down to the creek.

And here's another day of late afternoon jumping and diving in Lily Creek.  It's all in a hard days work.
