Magnuson Park

On our even continuing tour of Seattle's local parks, we headed over to Magnuson Park located right along the banks of Lake Washington. The University of Washington is right around the corner, and you can often see their sailboats right off the coast. It's a nice little place with shoreline trails and great water access if boating is your thing. We did a nice little walk around the paths and since it had rained recently Lily saw this as an opportunity to play in its swampy goodness.

Carkeek Park

Ever since we moved up to Seattle I've been having a lot of fun exploring the great parks around this city. It seems like there's great ones around every block, from Saint Edward to Gas Works Park. On this occasion, I visited Carkeek Park which is located in the north west section of the city on the Puget Sound. It boasts salmon running in Pipers Creek, to eagle colonies feeding on the beach. It's a regular animal haven!

Kenmore Family Photographer

Saint Edward State Park has quickly become one of our favorite places to go run our little 16 month old daughter, Lily. Derek F. Coleman - We recently visited the St. Edward's park in Seattle. It is known to be one of the popular Washington State Parks in the area. There are hikes that take you down to the lake at the end of the trail. All through the trail, you would be enveloped amidst the 316 acres enchanting foliage.

Camano Island Family Photographer

This last weekend we took a little day trip up to Camano Island which is about an hour north of Seattle to let little Lily stretch her legs. It was a pretty typical overcast day, a little nippy and pretty windy. This was great because we had the entire place to ourselves! Lily took this in stride and decided to sit down, grab some rocks and try gnawing off some barnacles.

Lily's First Haircut

Lily is growing up and has established a real good head of hair on her head. She's got her mom's long curls in the back and some seriously scraggly bangs in the front, so we knew it was time for someone to clean her up a bit and make her look a bit more presentable. Mind you, I tried doing this awhile back, but Tanya has been on my case about 'no more Dumb and Dumber haircuts', so alas I had to let someone with actual skills do the job.
