Around the World Wedding Photography – Katie and Mike

Katie and Mike had the craziest idea ever for their wedding plans. They decided [after a few fail ideas] that they were going to pull together their mutual love of traveling and fine cuisine and do an around the world wedding extravaganza! The theme was going to be wonders of the world and each stop they were going to throw on some wedding attire, set the camera timer, and run and mug for the picture in front of each location’s ‘wonder’. Such an awesome idea, and they pulled it together flawlessly. Tanya and I had a great time following their blog in anticipation of meeting up with them at the final destination of Philadelphia! My favorite entry was Cairo, because I kind of love stories of trips gone bad mostly because they happen to me all the time [I once got my car stuck in a farmer's ditch in Ireland and had to get rescued by the local farmer's tractor].

Last Saturday we flew across the country and got to catch up with these worldly travelers and had such a great time at their wedding. We were blown away by their decor which kept in the theme of all their stops on the trip. Katie and Mike created all the designs and did amazing work on all the menus, and I forgot to mention…they had a six course gourmet meal! Katie works in the music business so music was also a key element to their wedding. In between courses, they had their favorite local artists play sets and everyone was amazing.
